The First of Many 100 Days

Tuesday marked the first of, I hope, many milestones for Participate World as Tom and I celebrated 100 days of working together.

It has been utterly brilliant.

I feel like every day brings new experiences (from running in Abu Dhabi to running through the streets of Manchester), new opportunities (including with professional football clubs overseas and with universities in Leeds), new networks (from UK community sport organisations to I hope across the Commonwealth) and quite frankly a new healthier, happier and more connected me.

It has also been a whirlwind.

The blog on our website captures a lot of who we have met, where we have been, what we have done and how our organisation has evolved. We created it to chronicle our story and because we want people to see what sort of organisation we are, and we want accountability for what we promise.

It also offers a great way to scan back on how we are delivering against our three organisational pillars: international event creation; support to existing community organisations; and advocacy for community sport. From Abu Dhabi to Bristol, it feels like we’re making our mark – see our blog for details!

Thank you again for all your support, offers to work with us and your encouragement. Please do keep your advice coming!

Anyway, now for a long weekend to take stock, to take pride and to take breath before jumping in again next week.
