Award Winners

We're immensely proud that in this week's blog we can bring you the news that the Abu Dhabi Department of Community Development (DCD) community sport programme, Degayeg, won the 'Inclusion Initiative in Sports' category at the Middle East Sport Industry Awards.

We've been working with Ross Baxter, the DCD team, Snö Performance (formerly Hintsa Middle East), Palms Sports (ADX:PALMS), and other subject matter experts (Budreya Faisal, Khawla Barley, Muneer Mubarak, and Michael Dahdal, since may last year, and it's been a truly wonderful journey.When Chris and I created Participate World in January 2025, our overarching vision was to help community sport initiatives contribute positively to society. And thanks to this incredible team, none of whom we knew a year ago but who we're proud to now call friends, we've had the good fortune to do just that.

Looking forward to next week, we're delighted to be continuing our mini collaboration with the brilliant new Track Radio station and our friend Vassos Alexander.
