INTERSPORT Leadership Summit 2026

Finally found the time to reflect on the brilliant INTERSPORT Group Leadership Summit 2026, where I was honoured to join their CEO Tom Foley on stage for a Q&A around community sport.

I've known Tom for over a decade, since we partnered parkrun UK and INTERSPORT UK back in 2015, and his dedication to community is a true inspiration. To have his colleagues from around the world alongside senior staff from many of the most influential sports brands, in the same room, and be given the opportunity to champion community sport was amazing.

Community sport is the most incredible force for good, but only works if everyone comes together around the common goal of getting people outdoors, active, and social. And whilst it's important to respect that every stakeholder will have their own ambitions (commercial or otherwise), it's from effective community engagement that everything else flows.

Without that you don't have the connection, sustainability, or scale required to properly bring people together.

With it, you can achieve anything.
